3 TIER OVAL TABLE
Restoration Projects
This nice little Birch table with brass filigree gallery rail required a combination restoration/refurbishing approach.
The lower shelf was completely ruined by a leaky potted plant and had to be replaced.
No stripping was needed as the original surface was good enough to bring back to life.
The original veneered shelf and curved edging was too damaged to save.
With replacement shelf cut and jointed to fit, new curved edging is formed to the oval shape by clamping to the old shelf.
The new shelf with edging is glued into place with dowel pins and then finished to match the original look.
